"Agod masunod namon ang gusto nga ipahimo sang Dios"

Ebanghelyo subong nga Adlaw (Juan 6:22-29)

Sang madason nga adlaw, ang mga tawo wala pa gid naghalin didto sa lugar nga ginpakaunan sa ila sang Ginoo sang tinapay nga iya ginpasalamatan sa Dios. Nahibaluan nila nga sang gab-i nga nagligad may isa lang ka sakayan, kag amo yadto ang ginsakyan sang mga sumulunod ni Jesus. Nahibaluan man nila nga si Jesus wala nagsakay upod sa iya mga sumulunod. Karon, may nag-abot didto nga mga sakayan nga halin sa Tiberias. 

Gani pagkahibalo sang mga tawo nga wala na didto si Jesus kag ang iya mga sumulunod, nagsakay sila sa mga sakayan kag nagpa-Capernaum agod pangitaon si Jesus.

Pag-abot nila didto sa Capernaum nakita nila si Jesus. Nagsiling sila, "Manunudlo, san-o ka pa diri?" 

Nagsiling si Jesus sa ila, "Sa pagkamatuod, ginasugid ko sa inyo nga ginapangita ninyo ako indi tungod sa mga milagro nga inyo nakita, kundi tungod kay ginpakaon ko kamo sang tinapay kag nabusog kamo. 

Pero indi kamo magpangabudlay para sa pagkaon nga madunot man lang, kundi magpangabudlay kamo para sa pagkaon nga nagapadayon hasta kon san-o, nga nagahatag sang kabuhi nga wala sing katapusan. Ako nga Anak sang Tawo amo ang magahatag sa inyo sini nga pagkaon, kay ako ang ginhatagan sang Dios nga Amay sang awtoridad nga maghatag sini." 

Gani nagpamangkot sila sa iya, "Ti ano ang dapat namon nga himuon agod masunod namon ang gusto nga ipahimo sang Dios?" 

Nagsabat si Jesus, "Ang gusto sang Dios nga inyo himuon amo ini: magtuo kamo sa akon nga iya ginpadala." 

Prayers:

"Lord Jesus, you alone can satisfy the deepest longing and hunger in our hearts. May I always hunger for the imperishable bread, that I may be satisfied in you alone as the True Bread of Heaven. Nourish and strengthen me that I may serve you with great joy, generosity, and zeal all the days of my life".

Reflection of the Daily Gospel:

What do you most hunger for – wealth, peace, health, love, the good life? Jesus addressed this issue with those who sought him after the miracle of the multiplication of the loaves. Were they simply hungry for things which satisfy the body or for that which satisfies the heart and soul? Jesus echoes the question posed by the prophet Isaiah: "Why do you spend your money for that which is not bread, and your labor for that which does not satisfy" (Isaiah 55:2)? There are two kinds of hunger – physical and spiritual. Only God can satisfy the hunger in our heart and soul – the hunger for truth, for life, and for love. 

Jesus also spoke about the works of God and what we must do to be doing the works of God, namely to believe in God's Son whom he has sent into the world. Jesus offers a new relationship with God which issues in a new kind of life: A life of love and service, and the forgiveness of others which corresponds to God's mercy and kindness; a life of holiness and purity which corresponds to God's holiness; and a life of submission and trust which corresponds to the wisdom of God. This is the work which Jesus directs us to and enables us to perform in the power of the Holy Spirit. Do you hunger for the bread which comes down from heaven and thirst for the words of everlasting life?

"Ginbuksan ni Jesus ang ila mga hunahuna agod maintiendihan nila ang Kasulatan"

Ebanghelyo subong nga Adlaw (Lucas 24:35-48)

Kag nagsugid man ang duha kon ano ang natabo sa ila didto sa dalan pa-Emaus kag kon paano nila nakilala si Jesus sang nagapamihak-pihak siya sang tinapay. 

Sang nagapanugiron pa sila, hinali lang nga nagtindog si Jesus didto sa tunga nila kag nagsiling, "Ang paghidaet yara sa inyo." 

Kinulbaan kag hinadlukan gid sila kay abi nila kalag ang ila nakita. 

Pero nagsiling si Jesus sa ila, "Ngaa bala natublag gid kamo? Kag ngaa bala nagapangduhaduha kamo nga ako ini? 

Tan-awa bala ninyo ang agi sang mga lansang sa akon mga kamot kag mga tiil. Hikapa ninyo ako. Indi ako kalag. Ang kalag wala sing lawas pero ako iya may lawas kag makita gid ninyo." 

Pagkatapos niya hambal sini ginpakita niya sa ila ang iya mga kamot kag mga tiil.]

Sa ila dako nga kalipay kag katingala daw indi sila makapati sang ila nakita. Kag nagpamangkot si Jesus sa ila, "May pagkaon bala kamo diri?" 

Ginhatagan nila siya sang isa ka gulot nga sinugba nga isda. 

Ginkuha niya kag ginkaon samtang nagatulok sila. 

Pagkatapos nagsiling siya sa ila, "Amo ini ang akon ginsiling sa inyo sang nagaupdanay pa kita, nga ang tanan nga nasulat parte sa akon sa Kasulatan ni Moises, sa mga ginsulat sang mga propeta, kag sa mga salmo kinahanglan gid nga matuman." 

Dayon ginbuksan ni Jesus ang ila mga hunahuna agod maintiendihan nila ang Kasulatan. 

Siling niya sa ila, "Nagasiling ang Kasulatan nga ang Cristo kinahanglan gid nga mag-antos kag mapatay, pero mabanhaw siya sa ikatlo nga adlaw. 

Kag kinahanglan nga isugid sa bug-os nga kalibutan halin sa Jerusalem nga tungod sa iya patawaron sang Dios ang mga tawo nga nagahinulsol sang ila mga sala. 

Kamo ang mga saksi sa sini nga mga butang. 

Prayer:

"Lord Jesus, reveal your presence to me and open my mind to understand the truth of the scriptures – that you have come to save us and to give us everlasting life. Anoint me with the power of your Holy Spirit and give me boldness to proclaim the good news of salvation in word and deed."

Reflections of the Daily Gospel:

Aren't we like the apostles? We wont believe unless we can see with our own eyes. The gospels attest to the physical reality of Jesus' resurrection. Jesus goes to great lengths to assure his disciples that he is no mere ghost or illusion. He shows them the marks of his crucifixion and he explains how the scriptures foretold his death and rising. Jerome (347-420 AD), an early church bible scholar, comments: "As he showed them real hands and a real side, he really ate with his disciples; really walked with Cleophas; conversed with men with a real tongue; really reclined at supper; with real hands took bread, blessed and broke it, and was offering it to them. ..Do not put the power of the Lord on the level with the tricks of magicians, so that he may appear to have been what he was not, and may be thought to have eaten without teeth, walked without feet, broken bread without hands, spoken without a tongue, and showed a side which had no ribs." (From a letter to Pammachius against John of Jerusalem 34, 5th century) The centrality of the gospel is the cross of Jesus Christ; but fortunately it does not stop there. Through the cross Jesus defeated our enemies – death, sin, and Satan, and he won pardon for us, and the promise that we would be raised up with him to eternal life. His cross is the door to heaven and the key to paradise. The path to glory is through the cross. When the disciples saw the risen Lord they disbelieved for joy! How can death lead to life, the cross to victory? Jesus shows us the way and he gives us the power to overcome sin and despair, and everything else that would stand in the way of his love and truth. Just as the first disciples were commissioned to bring the Gospel to all the nations – the good news of forgiveness and abundant life in Christ, so all of Christ's disciples today, including each one of us, are called to be witnesses of the resurrection of Jesus Christ to all who live on the face of the earth. Do you witness the joy of the gospel to those around you?

"Nakita sang mga tawo ang milagro nga ginhimo ni Jesus"

Ebanghelyo subong nga Adlaw (Juan 6:1-15)

Pagkatapos sadto, nagtabok liwat si Jesus sa Dagat sang Galilea nga ginatawag man nga Dagat sang Tiberias. 

Madamo nga mga tawo ang nagsulunod sa iya, tungod kay nakita nila ang iya mga ginpanghimo nga mga milagro sa iya pagpang-ayo sang mga masakiton. 

Nagtaklad si Jesus kag ang iya mga sumulunod sa bakulod kag didto nagpungko. 

(Malapit na lang sadto ang piesta sang mga Judio nga ginatawag Piesta sang Paglabay sang Anghel.) 

Paglantaw ni Jesus, nakita niya nga madamo nga mga tawo ang nagapalapit sa iya. Gani nagsiling siya kay Felipe, "Sa diin bala kita makabakal sang pagkaon para makakaon ini nga mga tawo?" 

(Amo ini ang iya pamangkot tungod kay gusto niya nga testingan si Felipe. Pero sa pagkamatuod, may plano na siya nga daan kon ano ang iya himuon.) 

Nagsiling si Felipe sa iya, "Sa kadamuon sang mga tawo nga ini, bisan gamay lang ang aton ihatag, ang walo ka bulan nga suweldo sang isa ka tawo kulang pa nga ibakal sang ila pagkaon." 

Pero nagsiling ang utod ni Pedro nga si Andres nga isa man sa mga sumulunod ni Jesus, "May bata diri nga lalaki nga may lima ka tinapay kag duha ka isda. Pero ano ang pulos sini sa amo nga kadamuon sang mga tawo?" 

Nagsiling si Jesus sa iya mga kaupod, "Abi, papungkua ninyo ang mga tawo." Kag ginpapungko nila sila, kay hilamunon man yadto nga lugar. Ang mga lalaki lang mga 5000 nga daan. 

Pagkatapos, ginkuha ni Jesus ang tinapay kag nagpasalamat sa Dios, kag ginpanagtag niya ini sa mga tawo nga nagapungko didto. Amo man ang iya ginhimo sa isda, kag nabusog sila tanan. 

Pagkatapos nila kaon, nagsiling si Jesus sa iya mga sumulunod, "Tipuna ninyo ang mga nabilin agod wala gid sing may mausik." 

Gani gintipon nila ang tanan nga nabilin. Kag halin sa lima ka tinapay nga ginpakaon sa mga tawo, nakapuno pa sila sang dose ka alat. 

Pagkakita sang mga tawo sadto nga milagro nga ginhimo ni Jesus, nagsiling sila, "Amo na gid ini matuod ang Propeta nga aton ginahulat nga magaabot diri sa kalibutan!" 

Nakahibalo na nga daan si Jesus nga may tuyo sila nga kuhaon siya kag piliton nga mangin hari nila. Gani naghalin siya didto kag nagtaklad balik sa bakulod nga siya lang. 

Prayers:

"Lord Jesus, you satisfy the deepest longing of our heart and you feed us with the finest of wheat (Psalm 81:16). Fill me with gratitude and give me a generous heart that I may freely share with others what you have given to me."

Reflection of the Daily Gospel:

Can anything on this earth truly satisfy the deepest longing and hunger we experience for God? A great multitude had gathered to hear Jesus, no doubt because they were hungry for the word of life. Jesus’ disciples wanted to send them away at the end of the day because they did not have the resources to feed them. They even complained how much money it would take to feed such a crowd – at least six month’s wages! Jesus, the Bread of Life, took the little they had – five loaves and two fish – and giving thanks to his heavenly Father, distributed to all until they were satisfied of their hunger. The people of Israel had been waiting for the prophet whom Moses had promised: The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among you, from your brethren – him shall you heed (Deuteronomy 18:15). The signs which Jesus did, including the miraculous feeding of the five thousand signified that God has indeed sent him as anointed Prophet and King. Jesus' feeding of the five thousand is the only miracle recorded in all four gospels. What is the significance of this miracle? The miraculous feeding of such a great multitude pointed to God's provision of manna in the wilderness for the people of Israel under Moses' leadership. This food foreshadowed the true heavenly bread which Jesus would offer his followers. 

Jesus makes a claim which only God can make: He is the true bread of heaven that can satisfy the deepest hunger we experience. The sign of the multiplication of the loaves when the Lord says the blessing, breaks, and distributes through his disciples prefigures the superabundance of the unique bread of his Eucharist or Lord’s Supper. When we receive from the Lord’s table we unite ourselves to Jesus Christ, who makes us sharers in his body and blood. Ignatius of Antioch (35-107 A.D.) calls it the "one bread that provides the medicine of immortality, the antidote for death, and the food that makes us live for ever in Jesus Christ" (Ad Eph. 20,2). This supernatural food is healing for both body and soul and strength for our journey heavenward. When you approach the Table of the Lord, what do you expect to receive? Healing, pardon, comfort, and rest for your soul? The Lord has much more for us, more than we can ask or imagine. The principal fruit of receiving the Eucharist is an intimate union with Christ. As bodily nourishment restores lost strength, so the Eucharist strengthens us in charity and enables us to break with disordered attachments to creatures and to be more firmly rooted in the love of Christ. Do you hunger for the "bread of life"? 

The feeding of the five thousand shows the remarkable generosity of God and his great kindness towards us. When God gives, he gives abundantly. He gives more than we need for ourselves so that we may have something to share with others, especially those who lack what they need. God takes the little we have and multiplies it for the good of others. Do you trust in God's provision for you and do you share freely with others, especially those who are in need?

"Ang bisan sin-o nga nagatuo sa Anak may kabuhi nga wala sing katapusan"

Ebanghelyo subong nga Adlaw (Juan 3:31-36)

Ang nagakari halin sa ibabaw labaw sa tanan; ang nagahalin sa kalibutan, iya sang kalibutan kag nagahambal sang mga butang nga kalibutanon. Ang nagakari halin sa langit labaw sa tanan. 

Nagasugid sia sang iya nakita kag nabatian, pero wala sing may nagapati sang iya mensahi. 

Ang bisan sin-o nga nagapati sang iya mensahi nagapamatuod paagi sini nga ang Dios matuod.

Ang ginpadala sang Dios nagahambal sang mga pulong sang Dios, kay ginahatag sang Dios sa iya ang kabug-osan sang iya Espiritu. 

Ang Amay nagahigugma sang iya Anak kag nagtugyan sa iya sang tanan. 

Ang bisan sin-o nga nagatuo sa Anak may kabuhi nga wala sing katapusan, pero ang bisan sin-o nga nagalalis sa Anak indi makaangkon sang kabuhi, kundi ang kaakig sang Dios magapabilin sa iya sa walay katubtoban. 

Prayers:

"Lord Jesus Christ, let your Holy Spirit fill me and transform my heart and mind that I may choose life – abundant life in you and with you. And give me the courage and strength to always discern good from evil and to reject everything that is false and contrary to your holy will."

Reflection of the Daily Gospel:

Do you hunger for the true life which God offers through the gift of his Holy Spirit? The Jews understood that God gave a certain portion of his Spirit to his prophets. When Elijah was about to depart for heaven, his servant Elisha asked for a double portion of the Spirit (2 Kings 2:9). Jesus tells his disciples that they can believe the words he speaks because God the Father has poured his Spirit on him in full measure, without keeping anything back. The function of the Holy Spirit is to reveal God's truth to us. When we receive the Holy Spirit he enables us to recognize and understand God's truth. Jesus is the Word of God and he gives us his Holy Spirit so that we can recognize his truth and live according to it. 

God's truth has consequences and he gives us the freedom to choose how we will respond. The choice he gives us has eternal consequences – everlasting life or everlasting death. God challenged his people in the Old Covenant: "See I have set before you this day life and good, death and evil. ...I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse; therefore choose life, that you may live, loving the Lord your God, obeying his voice, and cleaving to him" (Deuteronomy 30:15-20). And he issues the same challenge to the people of the New Covenant today. Do you weigh the consequences of your choices? Do they lead you towards life or towards death? If you choose to obey God's voice and to do his will, then you will know and experience that life which comes from God himself. If you choose to follow your own way apart from God and his will, then you choose for death – a spiritual death which poisons and then kills the soul until there is nothing left but an empty person devoid of love, truth, goodness, purity, peace, and joy. Do your choices lead you towards God or away from God?

"Ginhigugma gid sang Dios ang kalibutan sa bagay nga ginhatag niya ang iya bugtong nga Anak"

Ebanghelyo subong nga Adlaw (Juan 3:16-21)

Kay ginhigugma gid sang Dios ang kalibutan sa bagay nga ginhatag niya ang iya bugtong nga Anak, agod nga ang tagsatagsa nga nagatuo sa iya indi na mapatay, kundi may kabuhi nga wala sing katapusan. 

Kay ang Dios wala magpadala sang iya Anak sa kalibutan sa paghukom sang kalibutan, kundi sa pagluwas sang kalibutan. 

Ang bisan sin-o nga nagatuo sa Anak indi pagkondenahon, pero ang bisan sin-o nga wala nagatuo nakondenar na, bangod kay wala sia magtuo sa bugtong nga Anak sang Dios. 

Amo ini ang kabangdanan sang pagkondenar: ang kapawa nagkari sa kalibutan, pero ang mga tawo naghigugma sang kadudolman sa baylo sang kapawa, kay malaut ang ila ginahimo. 

Kag ang bisan sin-o nga nagahimo sing malaut nagakontra sa kapawa kag indi magpalapit sa kapawa, kay indi sia luyag nga masapwan ang iya malain nga binuhatan. 

Pero ang bisan sin-o nga nagaginawi suno sa kamatuoran nagapalapit sa kapawa, agod mapahayag sang kapawa ang tanan nga iya ginhimo sa pagtuman sa Dios. 

Prayers:

"Lord Jesus Christ, your love is better than life itself. May your love consume and transform my life that I may desire you above all else. Help me to love what you love, to desire what you desire, and to reject what you reject".

Reflection of the Daily Gospel:

Do you know the love which surpasses all else? A true lover holds nothing back but gives the best that can be offered, even everything in their possession for the beloved. God proved his love for us by giving us the best he had to offer – his only begotten Son who freely gave himself as an offering to God for our sake and as the atoning sacrifice for our sin and the sin of the world. Abraham's willing sacrifice of his only son, Isaac prefigures the perfect offering and sacrifice of God's beloved Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. This passage in the gospel of John tells us of the great breadth and width of God's love. Not an excluding love for just a few or for a single nation, but a redemptive love that embraces the whole world, and a personal love for each and every individual whom God has created. God is a loving Father who cannot rest until his wandering children have returned home to him. Saint Augustine of Hippo says, God loves each one of us as if there were only one of us to love. God gives us the freedom to choose whom and what we will love. 

Jesus shows us the paradox of love and judgment. We can love the darkness of sin and unbelief or we can love the light of God's truth, beauty, and goodness. If our love is guided by what is true, and good, and beautiful then we will choose for God and love him above all else. What we love shows what we prefer. Do you love God above all else? Does he take first place in your life, in your thoughts, and actions?

"Dapat kamo tanan matawo liwat"

Ebanghelyo subong nga Adlaw (Juan 3:7-15)

Indi ka magkatingala nga ako nagasiling sa imo, 'Dapat kamo tanan matawo liwat.' 

Ang hangin nagahuyop bisan sa diin ang luyag niya. Mabatian mo ang iya huni, pero indi ka makahibalo kon diin ini nagahalin kag kon diin nagapakadto. Subong man sini ang nagakatabo sa tagsatagsa nga natawo sa Espiritu." 

Si Nicodemo nagpamangkot, "Paano bala ang pagkahimo sini?" 

Si Jesus nagsabat, "Bantog ka nga manunudlo sang Israel, kag wala ka makahibalo sini? 

Nagasiling ako sa imo sang matuod: nagahambal kami sang amon nahibaluan, kag nagasugid sang amon nakit-an, pero wala gid sing isa sa inyo nga nagapati sang amon ginsiling. 

Wala kamo nagapati sa akon kon magsugid ako sa inyo nahanungod sang mga butang sa sini nga kalibutan. Gani, paano abi ang pagtuo ninyo sa akon, kon sugiran ko kamo nahanungod sang mga butang nga langitnon? 

Kag wala sing bisan isa nga nakasaka sa langit luas lamang sa Anak sang Tawo nga nagpanaog halin sa langit." 

Subong nga si Moises nagbayaw sang man-og nga saway sa isa ka tukon didto sa desierto, sa amo man nga bagay pagabayawon ang Anak sang Tawo, agod nga ang tagsatagsa nga magtuo sa iya may kabuhi nga wala sing katapusan. 

Prayers:

"Lord Jesus Christ, your death brought life for us. Fill me with your Holy Spirit that I may walk in freedom and joy in the knowledge of your great victory over sin and death."

Reflection of the Daily Gospel:

Do you know the healing power and victory of the cross of Jesus Christ? Jesus spoke to Nicodemus of a "new birth in the Spirit" which would come about through the victory he would accomplish through his death and rising. The Hebrew word for "spirit" means both "wind" and "breath". Jesus said to Nicodemus: "You can hear, feel, and see the effects of the wind, but you do not know where it comes from. In like manner, you can see the effects of the Holy Spirit in the lives of those the Spirit touches." Jesus explained to Nicodemus the necessity of the crucifixion, his atoning death on the cross, and the resurrection, his rising from the tomb on the third day, by analogy with Moses lifting up the bronze serpent in the desert which brough healing and deliverance from the curse of death. When the people of Israel were afflicted with serpents in the wilderness because of their sin, God instructed Moses: "Make a fiery serpent, and set it on a pole; and every one who is bitten, when he sees it, shall live"(Numbers 21:8). 

The bronze serpent points to the cross of Christ which defeats sin and death and obtains everlasting life for those who believe in Jesus Christ. The result of Jesus "being lifted up on the cross" and his rising from the dead, and his exaltation and ascension to the Father's right hand in heaven, is our "new birth in the Spirit" and adoption as sons and daughters of God. God not only frees us from our sins and pardons us, he also fills us with his own divine life through the gift of his Spirit so that we may share in his glory. Jesus makes us a new creation through the gift and working of his Holy Spirit. His Spirit also gives us boldness and confidence to openly share the good news of the gospel and to defend it by our words and action, and to never be ashamed of the Cross of Christ. The Holy Spirit gives us spiritual gifts, especially the seven-fold gifts of wisdom and understanding, right judgment and courage, knowledge and reverence for God and his ways, and a holy fear in God's presence (see Isaiah 11), to enable us to live in his strength as sons and daughters of God. Do you thirst for the new life which God offers you through the transforming power of his Holy Spirit?

"Pagkaligad sang pila ka adlaw, nagpakita liwat si Jesus sa iya mga sumulunod didto sa higad sang Dagat sang Tiberias"

Ebanghelyo subong nga Adlaw (Juan 21:1-14)

Pagkaligad sang pila ka adlaw, nagpakita liwat si Jesus sa iya mga sumulunod didto sa higad sang Dagat sang Tiberias. Amo ini ang natabo: Nagatilipon sila ni Simon Pedro, si Tomas nga ginatawag nga si Kapid, si Nataniel nga taga-Cana nga sakop sang Galilea, ang mga anak ni Zebedeo, kag may duha pa gid ka sumulunod ni Jesus. 

Karon, nagsiling si Simon Pedro sa iya mga kaupod, "Mangisda ako." Nagsiling man sila, "Maupod kami sa imo." Gani nagsakay sila sa sakayan kag nagpalawod. Pero sa sadto nga gab-i wala gid sila sing may nakuha. 

Sang manugbutlak na ang adlaw, may nakita sila nga nagatindog didto sa baybayon. Pero wala sila makahibalo nga si Jesus gali yadto. 

Nagsiling si Jesus sa ila, "Mga abyan, may nakuha bala kamo?" Nagsabat sila, "Wala gid." 

Nagsiling siya sa ila, "Ihulog ninyo ang inyo pukot sa tuo dampi sang sakayan, kag may makuha kamo." Gani ginhulog nila didto ang ila pukot. Pagbatak nila indi na sila kadaog tungod sa kadamuon sang isda nga ila nakuha. 

Nagsiling kay Pedro ang sumulunod nga palangga ni Jesus, "Ang Ginoo gali ato!" Pagkabati sini ni Pedro, ginsuksok niya ang iya bayo nga iya gin-uba kag naglukso sa tubig kag naglangoy pakadto kay Jesus. 

Ang iban nga mga sumulunod nga didto sa sakayan nagpahigad nga nagabutong sang pukot nga puno sang mga isda, kay ang ila kalayuon sa baybayon mga 50 lang ka dupa. 

Sang nakatakas na sila, may nakita sila nga nagatumpok nga baga nga may ginasugba nga isda kag may tinapay man. 

Nagsiling dayon si Jesus sa ila, "Dala kamo diri sang pila ka isda nga inyo nakuha." 

Gani nagsaka si Simon Pedro sa sakayan kag ginbutong niya pa-higad ang pukot nga puno sang dalagko nga mga isda nga bali 153 ka bilog. Pero bisan pa sa kadamo sang ila nakuha, wala gid magisi ang pukot. 

Nagsiling si Jesus sa ila, "Dali kamo kag magpamahaw." Wala gid sing bisan isa sa iya mga sumulunod nga nangisog sa pagpamangkot kon sin-o gid siya, kay nahibaluan nila nga siya amo ang Ginoo. 

Ginkuha dayon ni Jesus ang tinapay kag ginpanghatag sa ila. Amo man ang iya ginhimo sa isda. 

Ikatlo na ini ka beses nga nagpakita si Jesus sa iya mga sumulunod halin sang iya pagkabanhaw. 

Prayers:

"Lord Jesus, you are the Resurrection and the Life. Increase my faith in the power of your resurrection that I may never doubt your word nor stray from your presence."

Reflection of the Daily Gospel:

Why didn’t the apostles immediately recognize the Lord when he greeted them at the Sea of Tiberias? John gives us a clue. He states that Peter decided to return to his home district of Galilee, very likely so he could resume his fishing career. Peter was discouraged and didn’t know what to do after the tragedy of Jesus’ death! He went back to his previous career out of despair and uncertainty. The other apostles followed him back to Galilee. When was the last time Peter was commanded to let down his net after a futile night of fishing? It was at the beginning of Jesus’ ministry in Galilee when the Lord dramatically approached Peter in his fishing boat after a futile night of fishing and commanded him to lower his nets (see Luke 5:4-11). After the miraculous catch, Jesus told Peter that he would be ‘catching people” for the kingdom of God. Now Jesus repeats the same miracle. John, the beloved disciple, is the first to recognize the Lord. Peter impulsively leaps from the boat and runs to the Lord. Do you run to the Lord when you meet setbacks, disappointments, or trials? The Lord is ever ready to renew us in faith and to give us fresh hope in his promises. 

Skeptics who disbelieve the resurrection say the disciples only saw a vision of Jesus. The gospels, however, give us a vivid picture of the reality of the resurrection. Jesus went out of his way to offer his disciples various proofs of his resurrection – that he is real and true flesh, not just a spirit or ghost. In his third appearance to the apostles, after Jesus performed the miraculous catch of fish, he prepared a breakfast and ate with them. Peter’s prompt recognition of the Master and exclamation, It is the Lord! stands in sharp contrast to his previous denial of his Master during the night of arrest. The Lord Jesus reveals himself to each of us as we open our hearts to receive his word. Do you recognize the Lord's presence in your life and do you receive his word with faith?

Ang Balita sa Pagkabanhaw

Ebanghelyo subong nga Adlaw (Mateo 28:8-15)

Gani dali-dali sila nga naghalin didto sa lulubngan. Bisan hinadlukan sila pero nalipay gid sila sa balita nga ato samtang nagadalagan sila agod sugiran ang iya mga sumulunod. 

Dugay-dugay nasugata nila si Jesus nga nagapangamusta sa ila. Dayon nagpalapit sila kay Jesus kag nagluhod sa iya. Ginhakos nila ang tiil ni Jesus kag nagsimba sila sa iya. 

Nagsiling si Jesus sa ila, "Indi kamo magkahadlok. Kadtui ninyo ang akon mga utod kag silingon ninyo sila nga magkadto didto sa Galilea. Didto makita nila ako." 

Paghalin sang mga babayi sa ginlubngan, ang iban nga mga guwardya naglakat man kag nagkadto sa siyudad kag ginsugid nila sa manugdumala nga mga pari ang tanan nga natabo didto sa lulubngan. 

Gani nagmiting ang manugdumala nga mga pari kaupod ang mga manugdumala sang mga Judio. Nagkasugot sila nga hatagan nila sang madamo nga kuwarta ang m ga soldado agod indi sila magsugid kon ano gid ang matuod nga natabo. 

Gintudluan nila ang mga soldado kon ano ang ila isugid sa mga tawo. Nagsiling sila, "Sugiran ninyo ang mga tawo nga samtang nagakatulog kamo kagab-i, nag-abot ang iya mga sumulunod kag ginkuha nila ang bangkay ni Jesus. 

Kon mabatian ini sang gobernador kami ang mahambal sa iya agod indi kamo maano." 

Gani ginbaton nila ang kuwarta kag gintuman nila ang ginsiling sa ila. Gani hasta subong amo ini nga istorya ang ginapalapnag sang mga Judio.

Prayers:

"Lord Jesus, may we always live in the joy and hope of the resurrection and never lose sight of its truth for our lives."

Reflection of the Daily Gospel:

Are you prepared to meet the Risen Lord? The disciples of Jesus were as unprepared for his resurrection as they were for his death. The empty tomb made them fearful and joyful at the same time. "Where did they put the body or did he really rise just as he predicted?" Even though Jesus had spoken to them before of his death and rising, they could not believe until they saw the empty tomb and met the risen Lord. Aren't we the same? We want to see with our own eyes before we believe! The guards brought their testimony to the chief priests and elders who met the news with denial. They were resolved to not believe that Jesus had risen and they bribed the guards in the hope of keeping others from believing. 

What is the basis of our faith in the resurrection? The scriptures tell us that "faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen"(Hebrews 11:1). Faith is an entirely free gift that God makes to us. Our faith is a free assent to the whole truth which God reveals to us through his word. Faith is certain because it is based on the very word of God who cannot lie. Faith also seeks understanding. That is why God enlightens the "eyes of our hearts" that we may know what is the hope to which he has called us (Ephesians 1:18). Peter the Apostle says we have been born anew to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead (1 Peter 1:3). Through the gift of faith, the Lord reveals himself to those who believe in his word and he fills them with "new life in his Holy Spirit". Do you live in the joy and hope of the resurrection? And do you recognize the presence of the Risen Lord in his word, in the "breaking of the bread", and in his church, the body of Christ?
